There I show you how to freeze fresh apples from the grocery store, orchids, or farmers market. This is my easy step-by-step tips for prepping your apples for later to be used in pies, frying, etc.
First thing you will need are some apples. I am going to be freezing 20 plus apples.
Use your peeler and peel your apple
Take your knife and slice the apple into fours
Take your knife and core the apple.
Then take your knife and slice the apple into thinner slices
Put your slices into a bowl
Pour 1 to 2 TBSP of lemon juice over your apple slices and then using your hands or spoon to toss and coat your apple slices in the lemon juice. The lemon juice helps keep the apples from browning too much.
Finally, fill your freezer bags about 3/4 of the way up and squeeze as much air out and then close your freezer bag. Make sure you mark your freezer bag, noting what's in it and the date you prepared it.
